Africana Community Rehabilitation Organization–(ACRO) is a local non-political and non-profit making Organization which was established on 25th October, 2007 by people of different social status and professional background with the interest in safe guarding our environment and promoting social-economic development. ACRO was founded through willingness of the community people who were looking for a solution to reverse the trend of deforestation and air pollution caused by burnt PET plastic products. On this context, ACRO realized that there was a need for a concerted effort to deal with present Climate Change challenges and socio-economic problems in different villages by means of good understanding and problem sharing. A forward was initiated to solving the problems through free discussion and people participation in the decision making and get-together under an umbrella of ACRO Organization.
